The Geek & Gorgeous 101 A-Game 5 is a silky, lightweight emulsion containing a medium strength amount of stabilized Retinal (0.05%) to help against all signs of aging, while remaining gentle on the skin.
Retinal is the "big brother" of the more well-known Retinol. While Retinol requires two metabolic conversion steps to reach its active form (retinoic acid or tretinoin), Retinal is the immediate precursor, only one step away from the active form that skin cells understand. It is estimated that Retinal converts to retinoic acid over 10 times faster than Retinol, making it a highly effective member of the retinoid (vitamin A family) family.
